About this activity

Explore rainforest & dry forest in one day. Wildlife, rafting, sloths, local lunch, and coffee & cacao traditions await. A full Costa Rica experience!

What to do

Experience the unique contrast of two of Costa Rica's most iconic microclimates: the rainforest and the dry forest, all in one unforgettable day. This tour is renowned for offering one of the highest chances of spotting wildlife in their natural environment, making it an ideal choice for seniors and families due to its short, easy-access walks.

The adventure begins on the Corobicí River, where you will board a raft to glide for approximately 2 hours through its calm Class I and II waters. No previous experience or physical effort is required, as our expert guide rows for you, allowing you to focus entirely on your camera and the scenery. Keep your eyes peeled: it is very common for howler monkeys, iguanas, and exotic birds to cross your path as the lush dry forest unfolds around you.

After this relaxing journey, we will head into the rainforest to enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch, full of local flavors and fresh regional products. The experience continues with a visit to a private sloth sanctuary, where you can observe these charming creatures moving through the trees at their own pace. Along the trails, you might also encounter colorful frogs, monkeys, and toucans that bring the environment to life.

To round off the day, you will enjoy a cultural experience with the country's most representative drinks. You will learn about the artisanal process of cocoa and coffee, from the plantation to the cup, understanding why they are symbols of Costa Rican identity. Book now and enjoy a day full of nature, flavor, and culture in total comfort!
