About this activity
Description
Brace yourself for a wild Aruba Fauna Tour! First, you will visit the Aruba Ostrich Farm, with its 80-count flock of the largest living bird species in the world! You'll partake in a guided tour of the farm, inhabited by ostriches and emus. You'll learn about the natural behavior and survival instincts of these amazing creatures and have an encounter with the birds.
Next you will get the opportunity to mingle with some real locals at the very special Donkey Sanctuary! Although not originally native to Aruba, these lovely creatures have lived there for 500 years, being the primary mode of transportation until cars were introduced. Sadly, a dangerous and rapidly spreading illness nearly caused their extinction leaving behind a population of only 20 wild donkeys.
Lastly you will visit the amazing Philip's Animal Garden, a world-class shelter and rehabilitation center; offering up interactive and educational tours, where you can enjoy an up close and personal experience with over 50 species of exotic animals from around the world. Visitors are invited to see, touch and even feed some of the garden’s exotic inhabitants!
