Beautiful towns like Ráquira and Villa de Leyva await you on this tour of the towns of Ricaurte Alto, one of the provinces in the department of Boyacá.
Highlights
After being collected from your hotel in Tunja at the scheduled time, we will head west towards Ricaurte Alto, known for its geological heritage and picturesque towns.
During the journey, we’ll traverse a semi-desert landscape before reaching our first stop in the town of Sáchica, where we will enjoy Colombian coffee and visit a small Archaeological and Cultural Museum.
Our tour will continue to the Sutamarchán municipality for a traditional lunch that includes a starter, a main course of fish or meat, and a drink. After lunch, we will proceed towards Tinjacá, known for having one of the best climates in Colombia.
Next, we will stop in Ráquira to see the gigantic Mano del Artesano and explore the colorful houses in the area. We will conclude the tour in Villa de Leyva, visiting the Plaza Mayor and the Fossil Museum to learn about the paleontological heritage of Ricaurte Alto.
You will be returned to your hotel in Tunja 10 hours after being picked up.
