What to do
Start your adventure looking for the perfect souvenir in the handicrafts market of Castries, the capital of Saint Lucia. Afterwards, you will stop at La Place Carenage, a three-story shopping mall, which features a good variety of duty-free shops and a restaurant overlooking the port. Later on, visit Castries Cathedral, stroll through Derek Walcott Square, and visit the former Governor’s Mansion, which offers a spectacular view of the city.
Afterwards, you will visit Morne Fortune, "the hill of good luck", one of the most prestigious fortresses on the island. Continue the tour along the rural roads that lead to the Herencia Criolla park, known as Fond Latisab, where you can observe the traditional elaboration of yucca and learn the art of cutting logs to make figures. Finally, you will learn a little more about the history and culture of Fair Helen. Undoubtedly, this is a cultural experience that you will not want to miss during your holiday in Saint Lucia.
