What to do
On this unique expedition, you will help release baby sea turtles back into the wild. Learn from experts about sea turtle conservation and interact with the process by digging and releasing them on Mexico's Pacific coast.
You will visit Petatillo Beach, a beautiful beach about an hour and a half from Ixtapa. Zihuatanejo's soft, sandy shores are home to turtles such as olive ridleys, leatherbacks, and hawksbills. After their eggs hatch, you can release these wonderful creatures into the warm Pacific waters, giving them a head start on their journey and helping them avoid predators on the beach.
