Day 1
East End Tour
Discover one of the most secluded areas of Roatan! Enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of this island while your guide tells you about the history and culture of this region of the Caribbean. You will stop in Punta Gorda to learn more about Garifuna history and continue your journey to Oak Ridge, perhaps Roatan's most traditional community, almost entirely populated by islanders. Enjoy a ride in a cayuco, a traditional canoe, and navigate from Oak Ridge to Jonesville through mangrove tunnels just wide enough to pass through in a canoe.
To end this wonderful adventure, enjoy a delicious Caribbean seafood lunch at a typical restaurant built on stilts over the water before returning to your hotel.
Day 2
West End Tour
A visit to West End is a must during your Roatan vacation. Spend a cultural and beach-filled afternoon starting at the Mayan Chocolate Workhouse, then visit the colorful Rusty Fish souvenir store specializing in recycled art. Spend about an hour and a half enjoying this quaint seaside town with free time to shop, enjoy the beach, or have a drink or two at a bar (drinks not included).
Before departing to the Roatan Rum Cake Company factory, enjoy a refreshing soft drink included, and then learn about this delicious rum and the products that are produced here, before returning to your hotel.
