What to do
You will begin your trip at the place that offers the most impressive views of the hills of the Yumuri Valley, the Bacunayagua Bridge, the highest bridge in Cuba.
Then, you will head to Cojimar, the town that inspired Ernest Hemingway to write The Old Man and the Sea (1953 Pulitzer Prize for fiction).
Then, enjoy an authentic Cuban menu at a local restaurant, and tour the Christopher Columbus Cemetery, filled with beautiful hand-carved memorials and more than 500 mausoleums. You will visit the Plaza de la Revolucion and admire the sculpture commemorating Che Guevara. Afterward, dine in a restaurant with an evening at the spectacular Tropicana show, the island's best-known cabaret. You will be entertained with a colorful mix of songs and dances that reflect elements of Cuban culture.
On your second day, you will explore Old Havana, where you will be enveloped by majestic historical and cultural architecture, including the spectacular 16th-century Castillo El Morro. As you stroll the cobblestone streets of Old Havana, shop in the cultural plazas, admire the baroque churches and visit the Ernest Hemingway Museum. You will delight in this enchanting atmosphere preserved by the centuries.
