The beautiful Montego Bay (known as MoBay) is the second largest city in the island nation of Jamaica and is the capital for tourism and one the premier Caribbean resort destinations. Montego Bay is also the capital of St. James Parish, one of the 14 parishes in Jamaica. The towns architecture comprises modern style wooden houses mixed with Georgian facades and cobblestone squares. It is a tourist destination known for its duty free shopping, cruise line terminal, and the sheltered Doctor's Cave beach with clear turquoise waters, which is one of the most famous beaches on the island.

Getting to Montego Bay you fly the Sir Donald Sangster International Airport, which can be reached in under 4 hours from the US and 70 mins from Miami. Once you arrive you need to find transportation to get you to your hotel, we suggest pre-booking to avoid being overcharged and having one less thing to worry about.

Things to do in Montego Bay

Daytime or night time Montego Bay does not disappoint it’s visitors, outside of your all-inclusive hotel is a whole new world waiting to be explored. This is one location where you can either sit back and relax or spend each day on a new adventure on both land and sea, find yourself hiking, zip-lining, swimming or even white water rafting up in the mountains or locations like Dunn’s River Falls and Black River. For those that love the water go swimming with dolphins or set sail on board a catamaran to explore some of the most picturesque diving and snorkelling spots, there is nothing more memorable than being out to sea as the sun is setting.  

Montego Bay is also surrounded in history and has a very strong cultural presence, make a trip downtown to see the vibrant street life in Sam Sharpe Square and the Georgian style architecture that lines the streets. There is always a party going on somewhere here so be prepared to let your hair down.
